Mike Bruton is a well-known scientist who specialises in aquatic sciences. Apart from his research interests in ichthyology, aquatic ecology, conservation and indigenous knowledge systems, Professor Bruton has also been involved in the establishment and development of museums, aquaria and science centres in southern Africa. He has published many books and a selection of these will be on sale after the meeting.
