On Saturday, 26 August 2023, dr Francois Verster presented his research conducted for a book about the Verster family in the Tygerberg area. The talk covered the story of Jacobus Verster, tracing his steps from the Netherlands to the Cape and eventually owning Oude Westhof farm since 1773.
Duminy Marias, vice-chairperson of the Durbanville Heritage Society, thanked Dr Verster for the very interesting presentation.
